YOU ARE FASTING!
These piece was inspired by Bukky Oyeti.  A big sister in the Kingdom. Thanks for allowing me use this piece.
Listen to a mother and her two children's conversation as regards sex. 

Daughter: (Coughs out) Hmmm…It is well o

Mum: (looks up at her, then continues picking her beans) Any gist for momma?

Daughter:( Looks at her) Mum, I think I am not normal anymore…like, I am sick

Mum: (Chuckles) Ojo to’ju ba ri’bi ni bii’wole. Sickiii ke! Why?

Daughter: Because I am over-sensitive. Whenever I see a guy, I have this weird feeling compared to when I meet a girl. Mum, I get worried often times if I would scale through adolescence without defiling myself

Mum: (Laughs) you are afraid?

Daughter: It seems you don’t understand mum. When I see a guy’s bicep, oh my God! If he mistakenly exposes his abs, then I would almost faint, feeling as if I should run into his strong, muscular arms and be cuddled.

Mum: And so? That’s why you are not normal?

Daughter: (Eyes widens) Mum!

Mum: That shows that you are very normal my baby girl

Daughter: I don’t understand ma

Mum: You fasted recently shae?

Daughter: Yes mum. A three-day dry fast

Mum: There was on an occasion that I prepared plantain and fried egg for dinner for the family. How did you feel that day?

Daughter: Mum, it was sensational! As if I had never tasted dodo before. I wanted a bite so bad.

Mum: So, why didn’t you get into the kitchen to get yourself some?

Daughter: Mum, I was fasting

Mum: Nice one! Son, can you hear us from there? Put off the TV please

Son: Ok mum.

Mum: As an adolescent boy or girl, don’t think it weird when you are attracted to an opposite sex. His or her stature or the likes might appeal to you. It shows that you are very normal. You wouldn’t say, you are abnormal because you can perceive the aroma of dodo while you were fasting. Would you?

Both: No mum

Mum: All unmarried people in this world are on a sexual fast or at least, that’s how it was supposed to be. Different dodo, juices, fried fish, chicken; Shawarma and the likes would appeal to them clothed in handsome men and beautiful women of different carriage but block your perception! You are fasting!

Daughter: (nods repeatedly) Hmmm…I am getting it now

Mum: the aroma could be pornography, sexy boys and girls, devilish games and all but be warned, you are what?

Both: Fasting!

Mum: So my daughter, you are as normal as anything. It means all the parts of your body are responding well but the Bible says you should keep your body under!

Daughter: Mum, for real, I can’t thank you enough. I expected you to shout at me and tie your scarves round your waist, stamping your feet on the floor saying ‘Omo yi ti pa mi’ but no! You are trustworthy and I can count on you. And that is why mum is our… (Signals to the boy)

Son: Confidant! (Both laugh)

Daughter: Bro, c’mon chop knuckle (They did)

Mum: (Smiles) Blessed children…very very blessed!

Both: most blessed mother

Mum: But never forget the lesson learnt today…(expects an answer)

Both: We are fasting!

Mum: Yes. The fast would soon be over and your dish of dodo, freshly prepared with well garnished fried egg with a chill bottle of wine would be delivered to you but first, wait! Say, I will wait

Both: I will wait!

Mum: And the Lord will bless you.


Both: Amen (They hug their mother and she blesses them).

Caring

  The hardest part of caring is knowing how much you actually do care.  If you are not capable of taking perfect care of yourself, it’s nearly impossible to take care of someone else. Perfect care comes from a heart that knows what care is, knows what it feels like to care for a person and understands that it’s only someone who has received care that can actually give out the care.

Caring for someone comes from a pure heart, it’s impossible for someone without a pure heart to care for another person especially if the person that is being cared for is not his or her relative.  I went on a personal retreat at an hotel at Barrier in Accra region of Ghana , I saw lots of young guys and girls having loads of fun like, taking selfy pictures, drinking drinks, jumping up and dancing at the same time. Sited there I thought to myself, Africa has the energy the whole world combined together can benefit from. It’s amazing to see the whites come into this place and just starts to really stare hard at the Africans that where dancing and they eventually joined the dancers. I’m always proud to be an African  Loooool.

Spherical thoughts

HIS NAME; YOUR NAME

Names are important. Your name plays a vital role in the fulfillment of your destiny. Your name also reveals your identity. Your revelation of the name God bares determine how He relates with you, it influences your walk with God. When Jesus was pierced with a spear, blood and water gushed out of his body but the church has emphasized so much on the blood but spoke less about the water that gushed-out of Jesus.

The blood of Jesus washes away all our sins but let me cast our mind back to the day Jesus wanted to wash Peter’s feet, Peter initially refused but Jesus told him in John 13vs8(NKJV) “if I do not wash you, you have no part with me” in vs 10 of this same chapter of John Jesus also said, “he who is bathed needs only to wash his feet but is completely clean and you are clean…” this suggest to us the power in the water that gushed out of Jesus, this water makes us stay clean in God, it empowers us to live a practical holy live before the lord Jesus.

The devil is commanded by God to eat the dust and we must understand that and always put the devil in his place. Quick questions-

Who is God to you?

Do you believe God is the solution to that issue?

What you don’t have a revelation of can you enjoy?

Do you know how precious you are to God?

Know this- The bible says “our body is the temple of the lord”, therefore, you are holy because the Holy Spirit lives in you. So be assured that all things work together for your good even the bad things and the ugly things. All things with the exception of no circumstances. 

YOU FAILED, SO WHAT???

People have invested in failed economies and have defiled aging economic principles, confounded global statisticians, committed economists and professors, making the go back to their drawing board. There’s a new dawn of ideas waiting to be unleashed by one man or woman who is ready to cheat on fear. One man or woman who is ready to say, “even if I fail, I am not a failure.” One individual who can out-rightly say even if I fail, I will learn from that and bounce back.” Someone reading this will agree to a scripture in the bible that says “even if I fall, there is a lifting up for me.” I tell you, there’s the dawn of new ideas waiting one person’s readiness to thread narrow roads and create new paths. Yes, the pathfinder, the pace-setter etc. Is it possible that you are the one I speak of???

The fear of proposing to a lady is indeed overcome by proposing. (some real men will attest to that fact). It starts with a careful introspection to understand one’s self, deep seated prayers for direction and a bold step to tell her she’s the one(that’s real men stuff). One of the qualities most ascribed to the biblical King Solomon is his wisdom. After many years of observation, he concluded, “I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry and are not necessarily wealthy. Even those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It’s all decided by chance and by being in the right place, at the right time.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11).

Don’t be afraid to take actions and face consequences, you want to just go ahead in time to make sure all is perfect and you find that you are afraid of failure, you want to avoid embarrassment, you even find out that you are just lost. Don’t be too hard on yourself. In the movie titled TED 2012, he said “you’re never alone when you’re with Christ.” The truth is there are so many like you and I, who find it difficult to decide on one thing and then go for it. Stop overthinking! Action without direction is harmful. Zig Ziglar said, “don’t let the mistakes of the past control and direct your future.”

            Tell yourself, the future is waiting to be unraveled, I will be the first to unravele it. #one life,make it count!

THE DREAM, IS IT YOURS OR THEIRS???

“Surround yourself with people without any goal or purpose for their lives and you will end up being just like them (purposeless and goaless).”- Tommie 2016. When you lay down on your cozy bed at any-time you feel you need to get a good sleep, every organ in your body system shuts down and falls into a deep beautiful sleep. Imagine yourself in a dream achieving all you’ve ever wanted to achieve in your life-time without being stopped by anything or anyone.

My question to you now is, did you consult anyone before you had that dream? Did your body take permission from any-one asides you before it shuts down and falls into a deep beautiful sleep? That goal you wanted to achieve, that purpose you saw yourself fulfill in that dream, whose permission did you take before you did that?  ERIC THOMAS said “no matter how hard the battle gets or no matter how many people don’t believe in your dream, never give up.” Your dream is yours and yours alone, you don’t need anyone to encourage you or support you to achieve your dreams, all you need is your own determination to succeed. It’s better to give people less power over the decisions you make in life than to lay out all your dreams on the table for them to tell you which one is achievable and which isn’t. Your dream is your responsibility. Your dream is yours alone. People are doors to achieving your desired dreams, don’t make them your yard stick for your decision making.

Sanguine:

In a nutshell...

Sanguine people are boisterous, bubbly, chatty, openly emotional, social extroverts.

Social

Sanguines find social interactions with faces both familiar and unfamiliar invigorating. This is how they recharge, and time alone - while sometimes desirable - can bore them quickly.

The more people they're surrounded by, the better they feel, and they're not picky about who they get to know. They enjoy having many, many friends.

While sanguines enjoy being around other people, it's largely because they enjoy the attention of others and feel good about the fact that they are not lonely.

They are talkers more than they are listeners.

They may move away from friends that they consider to be boring or dull.

They are bubbly, fun-loving, extroverted people-people who are always in the mood for a good time. They love wild nights out.

They make friends quickly, and they'll cheerily talk to strangers. People of the melancholic temperament might perceive a room of twenty strangers as frightening or uncomfortable, while a sanguine might see them as opportunities to meet new friends.

They are not picky, and will usually like more things than they dislike. They tend to enjoy things that are trendy, popular, and so on.

They enjoy social situations, and believe that everyone else would too. They're likely to convince people to come along with things like 'come on, you'll enjoy it!' or 'you don't know what you're missing!'

Being friends with a Sanguine is often as simple as knowing each other's face and name.

They aren't particularly trustworthy... as they'll be too eager to spill secrets with others, and their general flightiness can make them unreliable as they're likely to get easily distracted by other things.

Expressive

They are talkative, and speak in a friendly, energetic, playful kind of way; they're often charismatic, and when interacting with them, you can feel like you've known them all your life.

Sanguines can be great motivators, as they'll enthusiastically encourage others towards action, and they see things positively, optimistically, and would convince others to see things that way too.

They are naturally physical with others, very 'touchy-feely', openly expressing their affection through hugs and stroking and grabbing shoulders and things like that.

They could not be said to be neat and tidy. They live in the moment, which can lead to poor planning or disorganisation, messiness.

Attention-Seeking

They love attention. They desire to be in the spotlight, and for people to compliment and praise them. Everyone loves compliments, but sanguines will go out of their way to get them.

They are often performers, party animals, drama queens.

They wish to fit in and be popular. Or, they'll seek to be Different in a way that will make them remarkable.

The embarrassment of making a fool of themselves is outweighed by the pleasure of putting on a show. They will go to extraordinary lengths to add the life they feel is missing from any party, such as dancing on tables, eating food off the ground, etc.

Of course, the reason they'd do silly things isn't JUST to get attention. They do these things because them find them amusing themselves.

They require constant entertainment, and will complain about being bored if they are not sufficiently entertained, often at another person who's failing to entertain them.

They will show off their abilities to others in order to get praise.

They are dramatic, and will exaggerate to make things seem more extreme than they are.

They have a tendency to be vain, and to care about how they look.

If nobody is paying attention to them, they will barge into a conversation or say something in order to attract some attention. They are very uncomfortable being left out.

Role

In our distant past, the sanguine members of the pack might have played a supportive, encouraging, social role. They would have been the glue that kept the group together.

In modern society, you might see them as entertainers, singers, dancers, or perhaps simply as the energetic people at parties. In fantasy, they might be Bards.

MUSIC

Music is more than the songs we sing, more than the instruments we play, more than the dance. Music is one of the spiritual ways God is satisfied, music helps us worship God, listening to the right music in our daily lives makes a great difference in our walk with God. Music affects all ministries, music can help all ministers to minister under the unction of the Holy Spirit even the teachers.

Music ministers have the sole responsibility to stand as helps to aid the anointing of God in any gathering. They need to pray and get the anointing on themselves. They need to develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit and learn to flow with Him and not go ahead of  Him. They need to pray and seek God’s face for the right songs to minister. The right songs commands God’s presence, signs and wonders, healing of all sorts and breakthrough even much more than the whole congregation seeks for comes with the presence of God.

N.B: Music is originated by God and the right music only comes from the inspiration of God’s spirit. The Choir are to be carriers of God’s presence for effective ministry.
